Celebrate Red Ribbon Week/Prevention Month (October), the nation's longest running substance use prevention campaign. As part of Red Ribbon Prevention month, Wiley and McClave Schools, along with Prowers County are partnering to host the Colorado National Guard and Drug Enforcement Administration assembly for students on October 7 (K-4th grade) and October 8 (5-8th grade). As part of the assembly the Colorado National Guard will be landing a helicopter on the Wiley football field and delivering a message about the importance of drug-free living and making positive choices . Red Ribbon Week Prevention Month raises awareness of drug use and the problems related to drugs facing our community, and encourages parents, educators, business owners, and other community organizations to promote drug-free lifestyles. We are excited about these assemblies on Monday and Tuesday morning. Thank you Colorado National Guard, Prowers County, the McClave, and Wiley communities for supporting healthy, drug free kids!
