Congratulations Music Festival Medalists!
Last week, eight of our JH/HS students participated in a virtual CHSAA Music Solo & Ensemble Festival with students from across the state! Students were judged on their tone, intonation/accuracy, technique, rhythm, and musicality.
We had four students earn red/level II (Excellent) medals for their pieces (two students received medals in each of two separate pieces they performed)! Students are rated on a scale of I, which is Superior, down to V, which is Unprepared. Students must score a I or II in order to medal.

3:15PM-Girls B team, followed by Boys B (5 min running clock, 3 minute halftime)

5:45PM- JV Boys (2 Quarters 6 min stopped clock-played as a 1st half and 2nd half so switch baskets between the two quarters.)

***These times are estimates only. Please watch the games that will be live streamed to see for sure where we are in the games. Also please wait to enter the gym. If you are sitting in the parking lot around game time, you will see people leaving the gym giving you an indication that the game you are waiting for is about to start.

Wiley school district is looking at several options for summer lawn care.
If interested please submit a cost proposal for mowing the athletic fields, including football, baseball, softball and practice areas once per week beginning the first week of May through
The last week of September to the superintendent at Jeff.bollinger@wileyschool.org
Proposals must include mowing and removal and is due no later than noon on Monday February 8th.
Due to the weather, Wiley school will have a 2 hour delay this morning 1/25/21.
CONGRATULATIONS To Evan Larrick for placing 2nd at our local creed contest and to Claire Pendleton for placing 1st!! They will move on to the district contest in Lamar on Wednesday. Great Job!!

Mandatory parent meeting for boys and girls high school basketball on Thursday, January 21st, starting at 5:30 PM in the library.
Today, 1/18/21 our JH teams will play Lakin, KS in Wiley starting at 1:00 pm. The games will be played in this order: B Girls, A Girls, A Boys.
All guests should be on the guest list. Please do not enter the building without a mask being worn. There is a section for Home Fans, please sit in this section. We are asking that you show up for your child’s game and leave when it finishes.

Community Gym Project Announcement

JH athletes will be dismissed today at 1:45. Please make sure you have your uniform and a mask. You can not enter the school building in McClave without one.
Parents or guardians of athletes playing today in McClave, please remember your mask. You will be turned away at the door if you do not have one on. Each athlete gets two people put on the guest list. If you are not on the list, you can not enter. Girls will play in the red gym in the order of A team first, B team second, starting at 3:00. Boys will play in the white gym. B boys will play first in that gym and A team boys will play second. Once your athlete has finished playing, they are asking you to leave the gym. Please only go into the gym where your athlete is playing. Thank you for your help in making this possible for our student athletes.

Paraprofessional
Wiley School District is accepting applications for a full-time paraprofessional. Please complete the paraprofessional application located on our website and return it along with a cover letter and resume to Superintendent Jeff Bollinger at jeff.bollinger@wileyschool.org. Position will remain open until filled. EOE
The administration and School Board would like to have community input on the possibility of moving to six man football for the 2022 season. There is not a preferred division being put forth by the admin or school board but we hope to have discussions on the pros and cons with students and the community. Your input will be critical in the decision to pursue the switch or not. Please attend on Monday January 11th from 5-6 pm at the school library.
Reminder that school staff returns on Monday at 8 am and students begin on Tuesday. All students required to attend, there is not a remote option available at this time. Thank you and welcome back.
